Oscars warm-up: recent red carpet
And today is Oscars’ day! I love it, I get super anxious to see what the actresses are going to wear for this red carpet that I consider to be the most important of the year right? I am gonna follow the red carpet broadcast and comment on Twitter – check it there @diadebeaute – and during the night I will write the traditional makeup and hair post, so that you wake up and everything is here already.
Meanwhile, I share with you several inspirations from the latest events, things I ended up not posting on the blog but that I think are worth it (there is even one from Victoria’s Secret post-show hahah #delay)
Rita Ora with a gorgeous black and shimmery silver makeup at the Grammys, and hair with a front-swept fringe
Rita once more, at Tom Ford’s show in Los Angeles yesterday, with a well behaved and polished version of the haircut and black graphic eyes with a full wing
Julianne Moore also went to the Tom Ford’s show, with a soft smokey eye and with her hair down – she wore it down in all the awards ceremonies so far, will she go for an updo tomorrow? Everyone is betting on her to win the Oscar for best actress!
Behati with a beautiful bun at the Grammys, kinda retro – loved it!
I really like Kendall Jenner’s makeups, always highlight without looking heavy. Here with a red lipstick matching the dress + impacting false lashes and minimalistic hair combed back
Also at the Grammys, Lady Gaga had a classic makeup, super smokey eye just a tiny bit exaggerated, but with green eyeshadow instead of the usual black and brown – great idea to incorporate color in a very pretty way
Candice Swanepoel after Victoria’s Secret show – I got this photo because I looove this low bun close to the scalp and parted on the side, especially to go with dresses full of details like hers
Gwen Stefani looking gorgeous at the Grammys with bold false lashes, classic smokey eye and beige eye pencil on the waterline to brighten the eyes + hair with a bouffant
Gabrielle Union with a super pretty smokey eye in shades of brown with a touch of pink, black contour and golden shimmer + pinky blush and nude lips
Also from Victoria’s Secret, I got Lindsay Ellingson because I loved the style of her waves, not too defined, not to loose, and also not looking like they were done with a curling iron either – that cry that gets too “round”, I don’t know if it makes sense. It looks more modern this way!
Suki Waterhouse also with waves, but following a more 70s line, more boho (super trend, by the way)
A lot of people will think this is “nothing”, but I loved the simplicity of Toni Garn’s angelical look, in shades of nude, the hair up with the fringe down
