Express brush cleansing

I need to confess that I am veeeryyy lazy when it comes to cleaning my brushes – although I know it is something super important and necessary. But, I’m not gonna lie to you: I clean mine way less than I should (monkey covering eyes emoji hehehe). For the ones who are wondering, it is recommended that you clean them at least once a month, but depending on how much you use them, you can (should) clean them more often. Not only for hygienic reasons, but if you have a concise kit and you use the same brush to apply a mega dark eyeshadow and then a light one, for instance, it makes total sense.

What saves me in between official cleansing sessions are the brush cleansing sprays – I’ve used the ones by Klass Vough and Sephora, at the moment I am using the one by Marina Smith 2Beauty. Buuuut as soon as I saw these “makeup remover” wipes for brushes by Sephora, Brush It Off Cleansing Brush Wipes, I loved it and I wanted it! I don’t know if this is a new product, I never saw it before, but they seem to be super practical (and perfect for trips). I am gonna look for them the next time I’m at a Sephora.

I already wrote a more complete post about brush cleansing here – it was in 2010, it’s almost vintage, but it’s still valid!

And for the ones who like information in a more, let’s say, visual way, there are looots of videos showing how to clean makeup brushes on YouTube – like this one Camila Coelho did and this one with Paola Gavazzi!
