What: Eyelash Curler
Brand: MAC
Why: I’ll never forget the first time I ever used an eyelash curler – I was probably around 15 years old and it seemed like something magical had happened to my lashes, which are usually very straight and stubborn and the kind that don’t curl just with mascara. Since then, I can say that rare is the day I don’t curl my lashes – sometimes, even if I’m just at home and won’t put on any makeup I do it, just to take advantage of the eye-opening effect. But it’s funny that, although I’m crazy to try all the new products in the market, the eyelash curler is something I rarely change – until recently! I used to be loyal to Shu Uemura’s, classic, then discovered Kevyn Aucoin’s which fits so well on my eye shape. Then I got the Suqqu one (such a great Japanese brand) and it instantly made it to the collection and I must say I was really satisfied… But the other day I went to Rome for the weekend (♥) and, arriving at the airport, I realised NO eyelash curler had made it in my beauty bag. Horror! So thank God for Duty Free, where I bought the MAC eyelash curler. And I loved it!! So now I’ve been alternating between these 4 curlers and wanted to feature MAC’s on Vic Loves since the other 3 can be a bit harder to find… Available at MAC’s website and all department stores.

What: Body lotion

Brand: Prrty Peaushun
Why: I’m a body makeup believer, and if you’re not, this product might convince you. A body lotion with a funny name (peaushun = potion, but written with peau, which is skin in french… don’t about shun, guess it’s only a cool thing), it was created by a Los Angeles celebrity makeup artist as a… potion! to make her client’s bodies ready for the red carpet. It has moisturising/firming properties + light shimmer + color to achieve an upgraded version of your bare legs, dries nicely and doesn’t stain. It comes in 3 shades + 1 clear and, bonus points, the formula is vegan. Available at Cult Beauty.

What: Lollibalm
Brand: Benefit
Why: From the “tinted lip balms that became my obsession” series… After Clinique Chubby Stick, Revlon Lip Butter and Fresh Sugar Treatment Tinted, my new obsession is this one from Benefit. I love the fact that they were born from the liquid blushes that are such iconic Benefit products, genius idea to create a lip balm version! My fave is the cool pink Lollibalm (there’s also Benebalm, Chachabalm and Posiebalm), for that moisturising action with a hint of really pretty colour – it is now “forever” in my bag, keeping company to the usual clear lip balm. Available at Boots.
